I created Remilekun as a pictorial representation of consolation and unbothered poise in the midst of life's chaos and tribulations. The figure is draped in a luminous white cloth that signifies a sanctuary of internal peace, set against an intense, saturated purple background that hums with the energy of external pressures. Her gaze is turned away from the viewer, suggesting a deliberate focus on a private, stable truth that remains unshaken by surrounding storms.

In this work, I explore the radical act of maintaining one's composure when the world demands distress. Remilekun—which translates to "dry my tears"—is an affirmation of the emotional resilience required to outlast hardship. It honors the dignity of the soul that chooses stillness as its primary defense, proving that true serenity is not the absence of conflict, but the mastery over one’s own heart within it.
