Kin explores the sense of kinship between the human and natural worlds, a bond that seems to exist beyond their visible differences.

Woman and deer share the same space, while botanical fragments gradually dissolve their forms into a shifting landscape of leaves, colours, and traces. Their boundaries become uncertain, as though both belonged to the same ever-changing matter.

Part of The Forest’s Heirs series, Kin reflects on an ancestral bond between humanity and nature. A shared sense of belonging, held within the deepest layers of memory, that resurfaces through skin and organic forms.
Something of this shared origin remains beneath the surface, quietly revealing itself through the fragments of what changes and what endures.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint and botanical collage on 100% cotton canvas.
