Original artwork description
The creation of "Femininity" was a deeply intuitive and emotional journey. This painting came into existence during a quiet, late-night studio session, where the silence of the night allowed me to tap into a more subconscious, dreamlike state of mind. I wanted to capture the unseen, mystical layers of the feminine soul—those aspects that are felt rather than spoken.
My main inspiration came from the concept of archetypes and the timeless connection between feminine energy and nature's mysteries. The three figures in the painting emerged almost spontaneously on the canvas, acting as muses or different facets of the same spirit: grace, introspection, and hidden strength.
The inclusion of the cat is very central to the story of this piece. To me, the cat is not just a companion, but a guardian of secrets and a symbol of pure intuition, independence, and the mystical feline energy that has been intertwined with womanhood throughout history. Its large, watchful eyes serve as a bridge between the dream world within the canvas and the reality of the viewer.
