,,Deep Water" is a visual meditation on the inner stillness and the vast depths of the human spirit. The title refers to the state of the soul where peace meets profound mystery. Using a sculptural impasto technique, I have created a face that emerges from a deep turquoise background, symbolizing spiritual resilience. My background in sculpture allows me to treat the oil paint as a living matter, carving out light and shadow to reveal the eternal dignity of the human soul.
