The print shows an upside down head with gravity playing it's part to reveal some tension, distortion and movement.
This print is 3/6 from a very varied edition. It is a Polyester Lithograph and Monotype which has been hand printed by me and built up in layers. This edition and work from the whole series is experimental in nature with textures made by photocopying cling film and digitally generated print to accompany and layer over drawn imagery, all of which has been inked and printed using the lithographic process. Each print has a different colour palette which has been achieved by printing unique brush strokes onto the image. The print extends to the beautiful deckled edges of the paper and these irregular edges look great when the artwork is pedestal mounted in a box frame leaving the edges to cast a shadow and become a feature.
A print from this edition was selected as part of the ING Discerning Eye online exhibition in 2020.
