Biography
Attracted to figurative subjects, she likes to build layers and texture into each work, where lines are often softened or blurred, capturing intimate and expressive moments.
Her sculptures are inspired by themes on ageing, and are abstract and expressionist, starting with an idea then progressing intuitively.
She has exhibited in London and Paris in juried group exhibitions and won the prize for charcoal work at an exhibition in Paris 2022. End 2023, she was a Finalist in the VAA Professional Artist Award in which she was also awarded as one of only 5 "Highly Commended Exhibitor".
In 2025 she will be on a year long 'residency', in which she will visit regularly a select group of wine makers in Burgundy to create drawings of "a year in the life of a domaine". This will culminate in a 2-month solo exhibition at the Cité des Climats et des Vins de Bourgogne in Beaune in 2026, and releasing a book of the work.
