I paint a world inhabited by creatures who exist between two states - neither fully human, nor entirely elsewhere. Jesters, puppets, dreamers, lovers, mask-wearers. Tender and grotesque, serious and absurd. I create because these characters arrive uninvited and stay until they have told me what they needed to say. Painting is how I make sense of the human comedy - love, power, identity, the invisible threads that connect us.
