A series of overlapping brushstrokes constructs multiple layers of perception, evoking hyper-stylized environments that unfold across the surface. The work explores the depth and tension between different perspectives, inviting the viewer to move through them and become immersed in their shifting spatial relationships.
Winter Landscape is painted on a 0.2 cm-thick Plexiglas sheet. The reverse is painted black, creating a dark, suspended ground, while the front is worked with brushstrokes rendered in wall plaster. The contrast between the transparency of the support, the black reverse, and the textured surface creates a sense of depth that extends beyond the physical limits of the painting.
