Dusk on snow in winter in Quebec offers shades of blue that blend wonderfully with mauves on a delicate yellow lighting. The scene was painted after the artist took a snowshoe walk in a field near his home. In winter, twilight is a prime time to see the shimmering colors of the sky subtly reflecting off the snow. The shrubs delimiting the fields, the forest in the distance, everything is there to fully enjoy the great outdoors of Canada.
The work was done with a spatula and a brush, the sides are an extension of the work, the surface is varnished and the back is provided with a metal wire for hanging.
