Windy pines
The sunlight through the Mackerel clouds,
Trying to seek shelter,
As it will rain soon,
I’m forest bathing in the magical evergreens,
Between Rempstone Forest and Hartland moor, Dorset.
Words and thoughts of my experience in nature.
Original impressionist watercolour on extra rough textured watercolour paper bockingford 425 gsm 200 lb.
I used a medium sized Chinese hake for the sky and the background applied the yellow wash first then the mackerel clouds over the top. I pressed, dabbed and used lots of expressive brushstrokes to form the pine trees and bracken, grasses beneath.
