In the bracken
A sandy golden light,
Perfect dried foliage,
Copper and burnt orange,
The autumn ferns so perfect and still,
Hints of yellow gorse appearing in the grasses on the heath.

Words and thoughts of beautiful nature.
Original impressionist watercolour on cold pressed watercolour paper Bockingford 425gsm 200lb.
I wet the paper first and made a yellow ochre wash for the background colour. Then I used a two brushes using a pressing technique on damp paper to create the dried bracken. A sable brush for the hints of gorse applying the paint thicker for a textural effect. Again the filbert brush was great for building up the depth and I etched out the paint with my nail.
Signed on the front and back of artwork.
Certificate of authenticity.
