In the sky
As I look above the treetops,
The colours have changed once again,
Some cobalt blue appearing,
Violet and lavender clouds,
The sunshine lights up Duncliffe wood, Dorset.

Words and feelings of my experience of pleinair.
I was lucky the weather was perfect for painting outside. I felt this wonderful feeling being here and was so grateful for this day that I spent with my mum painting together in Autumn.
Original expressive watercolour on Fabriano 300gsm 140lb.
Wetting the paper I begin with the energy of the sky and colour pigments.I used three colour technique to create all the different shades. A pressing and dropping technique for the tree tops leaving areas of white.
