Whispers Within is an original black ink drawing on paper built around two profiles held within a single flowing form.
The larger profile tilts upward, while a second face appears inside the curved structure of the head. The two are not separated into individual figures; instead, layered brushstrokes connect them so closely that one presence seems to exist within the other.
This visual relationship gives the title its meaning. The inner figure can be read as a thought, a memory, another self, or simply a quieter presence contained beneath the visible one. Dense black passages contrast with transparent layers, giving the composition both weight and depth.
