Where the Quiet Begins (2026) Original Watercolour by Kari Silveira

14.8 x 21 x 1cm (unframed)

£98.38

Where the Quiet Begins explores the uncertain moment between stillness and movement.

A solitary figure stands within an atmospheric forest, surrounded by translucent layers of blue, teal and turquoise. The path ahead is only partially visible, suggesting a landscape that is still revealing itself.

I created the painting by allowing water and pigment to form soft edges, shifting depths and ambiguous shapes. Against the vastness of the forest, the small human presence introduces a sense of vulnerability, solitude and possibility — the quiet courage of moving forward without seeing the entire way.

Created in Malta in 2026, this original watercolour is part of my continuing exploration of silence, transition and the relationship between small human figures and immense landscapes.

The artwork is sold unframed and will be carefully packaged with a signed certificate of authenticity.
