Together is a painting about one of the simplest and most meaningful human experiences: not being alone.

Two figures stand hand in hand, surrounded by flowing dark forms that frame the scene while allowing the figures themselves to glow with soft light. Zakhar Shevchuk intentionally avoids descriptive detail, reducing the image to its essential elements and creating a composition that feels both intimate and universal. We do not know who these people are, and that openness allows viewers to bring their own stories and memories to the work.

The emotional centre of the painting is not either figure individually, but the connection between them. Their joined hands become a quiet symbol of trust, support, and shared presence. The surrounding darkness does not suggest danger; instead, it emphasises the warmth created when two people find themselves together within a larger world.

Optimistic, sincere, and deeply human, Together celebrates companionship in all its forms.
