An original acrylic painting inspired by walking my dog through suburban streets on a warm summer's day.
The painting draws on the variety of colours, textures and shapes found in familiar streets, trees and houses. I use layers of acrylic paint and glazes to simplify and rearrange these observations, creating a colourful landscape that sits between direct observation and memory.
Painted with professional acrylics on canvas, the work has a high-gloss surface. The edges are painted, so it can be displayed with or without a frame.
