The Hitchhiker (2025) Original Mixed-media Painting by Lee Ellis
35 x 45 x 4cm (unframed)
£1,500Sold
Original artwork description
Mixed media on canvas.
I’m a bit obsessed with the theme of the black dog - a contemporary analogy for depression. I say contemporary, Winston Churchill referred to his black dog during moments of melancholy, so not that new. However, it is a step away from the traditional English Folklore of the Black Dog being the harborer of death and general bad things. I feel this is an interesting subject that so many people can relate to - I know I can.
Materials used:
Oil paint, spray paint and acrylic
Details:
- Mixed-media painting on Canvas
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 35 x 45 x 4cm (unframed)
- Ready to hang
- Signed on the back
- Style: Expressive and gestural
- Subject: People and portraits
