The Happy Muse (2025) Original Acrylic Painting by Alice

£684.68
Original artwork description
Part of The Muses, a collection of ten works exploring ten distinct emotions and states of mind, Muse III is the happy muse — not because she smiles, but because happiness does not always need to announce itself.
Her happiness is quieter and more interior: a sense of ease, presence and harmony with oneself. It is the kind of joy that does not perform for others, that can exist in stillness, in contemplation, even in a serious expression.
Muse III challenges the idea that happiness must always be visible. Sometimes it is simply the absence of inner conflict, the feeling of being exactly where you are meant to be, without needing anything more from the moment.
She represents a mature, self-contained form of joy — calm rather than euphoric, intimate rather than demonstrative. A reminder that happiness can live beneath the surface, deeply felt even when it leaves no obvious trace on the face.
