Surrender is an original charcoal drawing exploring vulnerability, release and the psychological state of letting go.

The figure tilts upward while the body gradually merges with the surrounding darkness. Loose charcoal marks, erased passages and deep tonal areas create a sense of movement and instability, allowing the figure to shift between clarity and dissolution.

I wanted the work to capture a moment in which resistance seems to disappear. Rather than describing a specific narrative, the drawing leaves the emotional meaning open to the viewer.

Created entirely in charcoal on paper, Surrender retains the raw texture and expressive qualities of the medium.
