Dramatic skyline

Purbeck ridge,
Muted blues, purple and green of the landscape,
All in front of me.
Words and thoughts of the view across Stoborough heath, Dorset.
Original expressive watercolour on cold pressed watercolour paper Fabriano 300gsm 140lb.
When I created this scene it was for an art demonstration for an art student. I was showing how to do a sunset sky with clouds over the land. I imagined I was there and used a wet on wet technique for the background washes. I left the painting for a while and then went back over the heath area with more washes of colour.
This original watercolour is signed on the front and back .
