In this artwork, I explore the vibrant color, rhythm, and graphic forms of sunflowers. These flowers were grown in my own garden, continuing a personal tradition and series I started last year. Visually, the piece draws inspiration from the iconic sunflowers of Vincent van Gogh and the bold, expressive still lifes of David Hockney.
The painting process was accompanied by classic rock sounds in my studio—David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, and Pink Floyd. Their dynamic energy directly influenced the expressive brushwork, luminous contrasts, and bold color accents on the canvas. Original acrylic on canvas, signed.
