I am fascinated by the contrasts within society, old meeting the new. In this painting I wanted to show the beauty of traditional Japanese culture mixing with the streets of modern Japan, Tokyo. Heavily tagged and graffiti walls and doorways in Tokyo create a beautiful background for a traditional geisha. Bringing the old to the new, clash of worlds and cultures. 24 x 20 inches
