Original artwork description:
This is a piece that culminated in cutting into 5 paintings on panel in order to create one piece. The slivers from each painting seemed to be out of place until I started to reassemble the puzzle and make sense of the new composition. The individual paintings were fine by themselves, but they lacked the emotion and shape that I needed. This piece is not a specific shape as it juts out in various directions and I was fine with that. Often times I get disheartened when I create something that is familiar to something I have done in the past and I radically change it or destroy it in some cases. I almost through these 5 paintings away, but good thing I did not...
