The March Light (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Linda Jones

40 x 57 x 1cm (unframed) / 40 x 57cm (actual image size)

£342

Those days in Spring where the days are slowly getting longer and the natural world begins to emerge from darkness into the light. Exuberant shades of yellow glow as the sunlight passes through them. I love to see backlit leaves and flowers when I am outside, trying to capture the light passing through colour is an ongoing source of inspiration and fascination for me. Transparent colours in the artwork allow light to come through from the white background, opaque colours surround these to add contrast

Materials used:

pastel, pencil and acrylic
