Original artwork description
A flower does not lose its beauty when its perfection disappears.
In this painting, roses emerge from a dark, almost undefined space. Their petals carry traces of gold, brown and white, suspended somewhere between bloom and decay.
Rather than portraying the flower at its most perfect moment, I was interested in what happens when time becomes visible. The darkness surrounding the roses intensifies their presence, while the metallic pigments respond to changing light and give the surface an almost shifting quality.
The work explores beauty as something temporary — not something to preserve, but something that becomes more complex as it changes.
