She Carries Light is an original sepia ink drawing on paper featuring a female profile with a smaller figure held within the composition.

I created the work through repeated, flowing brush movements rather than precise outlines. As the ink layers began to overlap, a larger figure formed around a smaller inner presence.

For me, that smaller figure can suggest many things: a memory, another person, a younger self, or simply something meaningful we continue to carry with us.

The warm ink and untouched paper create a balance between softness and structure, while the layered gestures give the piece movement and depth.
