Original artwork description:

Saint Cyril and Methodius are two of the most important figures in the entire Southern Slavic realm, directly responsible for the literacy of this large ethnic group and the creation of the Cyrillic alphabet. I created this bronze piece after a monumental homage to the two Moravian brothers. My inspirations were in the orthodox fresco-painting, in which asceticism and spirituality were given the preference, while the bodies were often ethereal and formless. The book between the figures is a traditional symbol of the brothers’ work.
