One should not get them confused.

Samba is a celebration in Rio,
while tango strikes a pose, intense and dramatic.
As for cha-cha-cha, it is playful and lively.

Sensual, it teases, provokes and sways its hips.

It shoots knowing glances
that would make Cupid’s arrows jealous.

Eyes size each other up, bodies challenge one another
in an elegant game of seduction.
They pretend to confront each other
before melting into one.

This is rumba.
