Resting oak hill
Egg yolk yellow, crimson and damson sunset sky,
A small oak tree in Winter,
Colourful Hartland moor,
As I walk along the trail,
Wild and calming.

Words and feelings of my inspiration and love of this landscape in Dorset.
Original impressionist watercolour on extra rough textured watercolour paper acid free cold pressed 425 gsm 200 lb.
I wet the paper all over applying with my Chinese brush the wet on wet washes for the background using four colours to mix many different shades on my plate.
When the paper is drying I then paint the tree using a Japanese mop squirrel haired brush and a filbert. Etched out the grasses with my nail before the paper dries.
