In this piece, I delve into the themes of individuality and collective identity. The stark contrast between the solitary figure standing above and the figures below reflects the human struggle between belonging and isolation. Created with meticulous pencil drawing and oil layers, the artwork is imbued with a metaphysical quality, inviting viewers to contemplate their place within society.
This work is one of my symbolic drawings on paper, painted years ago. I find that somehow they correspond with the anxious times we live in.
