Olympic Owl (2024) Original Acrylic Painting by Anna Burger

Olympic Owl is an original acrylic painting from my Avian Olympiad series, a colourful contemporary collection inspired by birds, animals, movement and individuality.
The owl is presented as a strong central figure, surrounded by geometric shapes, decorative patterns and luminous accents in pink, turquoise, blue, black and gold.
Rather than depicting the bird realistically, I focus on character, symmetry and visual rhythm.
The owl becomes a symbol of wisdom, calm and quiet strength, transformed through a contemporary and playful visual language.
Created entirely with brushes on stretched canvas, the painting combines smooth colour fields with detailed painted marks and metallic-looking accents.
