An intriguing and humorous sculpture of tiny people rolling along on brightly coloured wheels.

The O-Riders are energetically pedalling their wobbly O’s, with their bulbous, squashy tyres. They are working hard to balance themselves and to keep up with each other, rolling along on their journey together.

This is a humorous set of characters that plays with our tendency to get involved with fairly ridiculous activities by convincing ourselves that they are essential…

O-Riders is made of a beautiful British eco-resin which has allowed me to play with these three bright colours that add life and vibrancy. The darker colour of the riders counters the almost glowing O’s, and introduces a narrative between the three connected characters. They look particually vibrant if you place them with the light coming from behind them.

The sculpture is mounted on a black flat acrylic base, and is 14cm long, 8cm tall, and 8cm wide including the base. It is for sale as a limited edition of 24. You can see pictures of my casting the O Riders in the “Me at Work” section of my Profile.

The sculpture is initialled on the bottom of the back of the red O, and comes with a signed letter of authentication, stating its edition number. It is robust and can withstand small knocks and movements in the home. Being made in a light-weight material, it weighs less than half a kilo and is easy to transport and move about. I package it in a sturdy cardboard box and it travels very well by courier.
