Never Alone

Never Alone is an original pastel painting celebrating the powerful bond, tenderness and instinctive connection between animals.

In this portrait, I wanted to capture more than realistic detail. My aim was to convey a feeling of closeness, protection and companionship — that quiet reassurance of knowing that someone is always beside you.

The artwork was created entirely by hand using professional artist-quality pastels on paper. I build my wildlife portraits gradually, working through many layers to create the softness of the fur, depth of colour and fine details that give each animal its individual character and presence.

For me, wildlife art is not simply about reproducing an animal's appearance. I want the viewer to feel something — to recognise an emotion, a relationship or perhaps even a reflection of their own experiences.
