This sculpture depicts the head of a demon who is expected, by nature, to be evil—but does not want to be. Its large horns, red ears, and crooked teeth belong to the imagery of fear, yet its bewildered, vulnerable expression makes it seem harmless, almost tender. The work explores the contrast between appearance and identity, portraying a creature trapped in a role that does not truly belong to it.
