Original artwork description
Longing for sea
The sea of many shades,
At dusk,
Alluring,
Mysterious,
Calming me,
Exciting me,
I will be there again.
My desires and feelings when I create my watercolours - my thoughts went back into the past when I was down on the Chesil flower beach at dusk in South Dorset.
With all my art materials that I have before me I gather my thoughts and relax into the wet in wet washes of watercolour.I then stop and leave it alone for awhile.
Then I begin again when I can totally switch off from everything and start laying again more colours over the sea,sky and beach. Then with a dragging technique I drag the paint to create the expressiveness of the sea grasses and flowers - using my nails I carve out the paint.
Materials used:
Rough textured watercolour paper acid free Bockingford,Holbein Watercolour paints,Chinese bamboo brushes, water,
