It's clear dear from here (2026) Original Oil Painting by Dick van Dijk

Original artwork description
The atmospheric composition is dominated by deep reds, smoky pinks, warm browns, and muted dark tones. Emerging from these layered fields of colour is the suggestion of male figures and embraces, simultaneously present and dissolving into abstraction. A torso appears exposed and luminous at the center of the canvas, while faces hover in the upper section like a memory, partially obscured by veils of paint. A body appears to lean backward in an act of surrender. Rather than defining the body through precise anatomy, I use broad gestures, blurred contours, and colour to construct figures. The body becomes less a fixed identity than a vessel for intimacy and quiet vulnerability. The tactile texture and fluid transitions between opacity and transparency emphasize the physical act of painting itself, allowing traces of revision, instinct, and spontaneity to remain visible - especially since the work is painted on unprepared, recycled canvas (behaving much differently than prepared canvas).
This piece is sold unframed. It will be carefully packaged in mostly repurposed shipping materials. Customs fees and duties are the responsibility of the recipient.
The artwork is "Ready to Hang", the canvas is stretched on a wooden frame with a wire on the back. It is signed on the back.
