Title: Hebridean Sea Fields

Hebridean Sea Fields is an atmospheric coastal fine art photograph inspired by the extraordinary turquoise seas of the Scottish Hebrides. Created from the colours and shifting horizons of Scotland's western islands, this contemporary landscape artwork moves towards abstraction, reducing sea, sky and distant land to luminous bands of blue, turquoise and deep indigo.

The composition is wonderfully simple: an intense dark blue horizon gives way to softer layers of cobalt and aquamarine before dissolving into brilliant turquoise. With almost no recognisable detail, the landscape becomes a field of colour and light — somewhere between photography, painting and abstract seascape.

I love the extraordinary colours of the Hebridean sea, particularly those fleeting moments when the water seems almost impossibly bright. In this piece I wanted to hold onto that sensation rather than describe a particular place too literally: the feeling of looking towards a distant horizon with nothing but colour, space and sea before you.

With its clean horizontal composition and rich blue-green palette, Hebridean Sea Fields works beautifully as large statement wall art. It brings colour to a neutral contemporary interior while retaining a sense of calm and simplicity, making it particularly suited to living rooms, bedrooms and spacious modern interiors.

A Note on Canvases
Canvases are unframed and unmounted, they need to be stretched or framed once you get them. They come with 2 inch (5cm) white border. Once ready, they are shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery.
