Pink Thread belongs to Threads of the Soul: The Pearl Collection, a three-part series that uses the pearl as a metaphor for experience: something formed slowly, layer by layer, within a living body. Across the trilogy, white, pink and black mark different emotional states rather than simply different colours.
In Pink Thread — Sensuality, the pearl becomes associated with tenderness, openness and emotional awakening. Rather than treating sensuality as spectacle, the painting approaches it as a capacity to feel deeply and to remain receptive — the moment when intimacy and vulnerability become sources of strength.
