"Happy End" belongs to my ongoing series of abstract landscape paintings, in which real places, journeys and memories are reduced to their essential elements: colour, light, texture and rhythm.

The painting can be read as a quiet view across water at the end of the day. A distant shoreline forms a dark, almost blurred horizon, while the fading sky is reflected below. Deep blue-green and turquoise tones dominate the composition, interrupted by muted ochres and traces of warm light — as if the last colours of the day were still caught between the clouds and the surface of the water.

This ambiguity lies at the heart of my landscapes. My method originated from the idea of taking a very narrow fragment of a real view and stretching it across the entire canvas. Details disappear. Sky, forest, water and earth become horizontal fields of colour, allowing the image to exist somewhere between contemporary landscape painting and abstract art.

The surface is built through numerous layers of acrylic paint. Colours are covered, muted, scraped and revealed again, leaving scratches, irregularities and traces of previous stages visible beneath the final image. What appears calm from a distance becomes much more complex when seen up close.

Music is another hidden layer of the series. Each title refers to a song associated with a particular journey, place, memory or emotional state. Together, the paintings form a kind of sonic diary.

Happy End is therefore not pure abstraction. It is a remembered landscape — a fragment of water, distant land and fading light, stripped of detail until only atmosphere and emotion remain.
