Green Trees (2014) Original Oil Painting by Anastasia Kondratovich

Green Trees is part of my Trees series, inspired by the beauty and structure of stained glass. I wanted to transform an ordinary landscape into something more vibrant and dreamlike, using bold colours, simplified shapes, and dark lines that divide the scene like pieces of glass.

The trees become the main characters of the painting, framing the view of the house and creating a feeling of depth and movement. The different shades of green, turquoise, purple, and blue give the landscape an almost magical quality, while the winding pathway invites the viewer into the scene.

Through this series, I explore my connection with trees and nature, looking at familiar landscapes in a more imaginative and expressive way.
