Green Shawl (2026) Original Oil Painting by Victor Sheleg

"Green Shawl" is a captivating exploration of intimacy, mystery, and the delicate boundary between conformity and personal liberation. In this piece, Viktor Sheleg masterfully uses his signature shadowy, suggestive style to portray a female figure enveloped in a rich, textured green fabric. The vibrant emerald and olive tones of the shawl contrast dramatically against a complex, mood-driven background, creating a powerful visual anchor.
Sheleg’s figurative works do not merely depict a subject; they invite the viewer into a deep psychological narrative. The layers of oil paint are applied with both fluid grace and intense, palette-knife passion, resulting in a rich tactile surface that catches the light beautifully from different angles.
