Full Moon
Series: Maybe I’ve Always Been Here
About the artwork
Against a deep red background, the Goddess stands in a pose that recalls antiquity — balanced, composed, and outside of time. Her body suggests a form that has already passed through its process of becoming and reached a state of completion. There is no sense of movement or struggle in her presence; instead, she embodies a moment of fullness, when everything has come into its own.
Beside her grows an orange tree with rich green leaves and ripe fruit, carrying another image of maturity and abundance. The tree is not simply a natural element within the composition, but part of the same symbolic language as the Goddess — a living form that has grown, endured, and reached its full expression.
Behind her head, a radiant body of light forms a halo in which the solar and lunar merge into a single circle. The image brings together two states of light: the visible and the reflected, the beginning and the completion, what is given and what is received. The circle becomes a symbol of wholeness and continuity.
The Story Behind the Work
Full Moon continues the story of Slice of Light, but here the cycle reaches its fullness. What was once only a fragment becomes whole. The full moon is not named directly, but is present in the form, in the rhythm of the composition, and in the completeness of the gesture.
The work explores the moment when accumulated light finally reveals itself. It is about inner maturation — a process that may remain invisible for a long time before becoming something that can be seen and felt. The Goddess does not appear to be searching for something outside herself. She stands in a state of presence, carrying the strength of everything that has already happened.
Full Moon speaks of a moment in which strength no longer seeks confirmation — it simply is.
Presentation
This original artwork is painted in acrylic on canvas and stretched on a wooden stretcher frame. It is supplied with hanging hardware and is ready to hang directly on the wall without additional framing.
