Original artwork description
Expressive contemporary portrait painting — I created this colorful figurative portrait through an intuitive process of layering acrylic paint and soft pastels, allowing the face to emerge through unexpected combinations of color and form. Rich reddish brown hair frames a face illuminated by turquoise, golden yellow, coral, and blue, creating a striking contrast between warmth and coolness. I love how the contrasting colors and loose, expressive marks give the figure a quiet intensity, inviting the viewer to consider the personality and inner world behind the gaze. This original mixed media artwork brings a distinctive contemporary presence to a space, offering both a compelling focal point and an intimate portrait.
Colors: turquoise blue, turquoise green, golden yellow-orange, coral pink, reddish brown, dark brown, white, beige/ivory background
