Figure in Blue explores the human figure through an expressive field of intense blues, where form gradually emerges from colour, movement and texture. Painted in oil on canvas, the work combines energetic brushstrokes and layered paint to create a surface rich in depth and emotion.

The figure is not presented as a traditional portrait, but as a presence that seems to appear and dissolve within the surrounding blue. Ultramarine, turquoise and deeper blue tones create a sense of movement, while the textured surface gives the painting a strong physical quality.

The work reflects my continuing exploration of blue as an emotional space, connecting the human figure with memory, atmosphere and the Mediterranean environment. Between abstraction and figuration, Figure in Blue invites the viewer to discover the figure gradually and form a personal interpretation.
