Eye Candy (2025) Original Acrylic Painting by Peter Slade

£1,500

“Eye Candy” leans into pure, unapologetic fun—a bright, glossy gumball machine bursting with colour and charm. The gumballs jostle and press against the glass like they’re eager to escape, while a few have already made a break for it, rolling mischievously at the base. There’s a sense of anticipation here, like the moment before the twist of the dial, when anything feels possible. Sweet, cheeky, and a little bit nostalgic, the painting invites you to indulge—if only with your eyes.

I came across this gumball machine whilst out shopping. Most classic machines have more chrome in them, which I like, but I found the red plastic irresistible to paint!

the deep edge canvas is painted on the sides, so ready to hang, but would also look great in a floating frame...
