Original artwork description:

Sunset colours are always so fleeting, when I was fortunate enough to witness this sunset whilst walking one evening I did some very quick preliminary sketches and noted down the colour palette.

On returning to the studio I immediately started work on this seascape in oil paint with the ephemeral light still fresh in my mind's eye. The bright orange and pink of the disappearing sun's rays against the deep violets and blues of the sky reflected beautifully in the water, broken up by the boats on their moorings.

The viewer can gaze at this scene with its strong rich dark colours contrasted against the fading light evoking memories of holidays or walks by the sea.

Evening Spectacle is a framed original oil painting created and painted by myself. The back of the artwork is signed and you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity.
