Echo explores the repetition and fragmentation of a single presence. Multiple impressions of the same face overlap and shift across the composition, creating the sensation of an identity caught between different moments or states of perception.
Rather than presenting the figure as a fixed portrait, the work allows the face to multiply, dissolve and reappear within the surrounding darkness. The restrained monochromatic palette and blurred transitions reinforce a sense of psychological distance, as though the image were being recalled rather than directly observed.
The work reflects on memory, perception and the unstable nature of identity — how a single presence can leave behind multiple traces of itself.
