Deep Dive Original Oil Painting by Tarja Laine

This painting explores the fluid relationship between the human body and the natural world. A diving figure, partially obscured by an undulating, marbled landscape of organic forms, appears to merge with water. Flowing lines, layered patterns and the tones of skin with green and turquoise colour create a sense of movement and transformation. The contrast between the softness of the body and the intricate, shifting element of water evokes themes of nature, sensuality and interconnectedness. The composition invites the viewer to consider the boundaries between the human form and the natural environment.
