Artist's description:

Dashing the paint
Feeling the place.

My words and exspression of being on the Heath.
Different shades in areas of the Heath ,this is Wareham Heath in Dorset a very large area that is protected for nature.
I wanted to show the grasses of many colours and the scrubland with its charcoals blacks and burnt oranges -with copper highlights.
It’s wild and you can walk for miles.

I used my wet in wet technique for the colour washes that I apply first and then for the defining I used a drag technique .The last touches of highlights in copper gouche.

Materials used:

Rough textured watercolour paper-Bockingford 140lb tinted ,Holbein watercolour paints,Chinese bamboo brushes, water,
