Artist's description:

Cornish wild roses
Flirtatious pinks,
Appear to dominate,
In amongst the foliage,
Small wild flowers,
Dainterly shine,
With the soft movements,
Of the sea and sky.

Words and feelings of this wonderful place that I experienced on holiday in South Cornwall-Portloe.
It left a lasting impression this amazing coastline and so many ideas for compositions, colours and patterns using my contemporary way in Watercolour.
I used a wet in wet technique using a large hake made of hogs hair for the back washes then for the detail of the flowers I used a pressing technique using Holbein Watercolour paints with a Chinese pointed wolf hair brush.

Materials used:

St Cuthberts Mill cold pressed acid free watercolour paper textured,Holbein Watercolour paints, large Chinese hake,Chinese pointed wolf hair brush,Water,

Cornish wild roses (2018)
